Great sites for holiday shopping!

Thanks to Lisa for introducing me to www.vistaprint.com. This site allows you to custom order holiday cards, birthday cards, note cards, address labels, etc for next to no $$. I started with a snowman template, changed the font size, color, and content to my taste. Printed a custom greeting on the inside and a salutation from me. Total cost? $30 for 24 cards. That's cheaper than most boxed cards you buy at a store, AND I will be the one and only person sending out this particular card. Moi. Mi. I also got matching return address labels and gift tags with the "from Allison" printed on them. So easy and so cute.

My second favorite site is www.calendars.com. Yes it has calendars to address every interest, hobby, occupation and sense of humor. But it has soooo much more. I was incredibly impressed by the miniature schnauzer section: 49 items!!! And you get free gift wrapping for orders over $20. Done and done!

I Bought on Ebay- Sing it!

Matt sent me this hilarious song about shopping on eBay that is set to the tune of the BackStreet Boys' "I want it that way."

It's so true. You get so caught up in being the highest bidder, outbidding some nincompoop in Fargo, ND that you end up paying too much for something you could really care less about. One day, while shopping for lipgloss (note: I must have, no lie, 15 containers of lip gloss at home, 2 of which I actually wear) I came across this pretty lipstick that was just the right shade of red I had been looking for. The hitch? The person selling it was only selling it in a group of 3. I almost placed a bid but something way back in the corner of my brain questioned what I would do with 3 tubes of Cherries in the Snow. Considering how often I wear red lipstick (never) I chose wisely to pass it up. BUT I almost bid on it... b/c what a great deal. Three department store lipsticks for $10. Another couple of tubes that will keep the other 15 lipsticks I never wear company. Why? The thrill of winning! Whoever invented eBay deserves a giant smooch from me. And a giant whack on the crack from my wallet. It's just so addicting...

Gotham City Online!

I have to give a shout out (why am I so into this phrase lately???) to one of my favorite eBay sellers: Gotham City Online. Girls... don't even think about going to Nordstrom to search for your next pair of shoes. This ebay store carries tons and tons of name-brand, stylish shoes for sooooo much less. Case in point: I just won these lovely strappy, gold, Ellen Tracy designer sandals for $36... when they retail for $168 in stores. Knowing they are trendy and will most likley kill my feet, I will sleep better at night knowing I only spent a few dollars to get them. This is the 2nd pair (OK third pair) of shoes I've bought from this seller. I know they will arrive via UPS, in their original box, in perfect shape just like the others. So get shopping!

Sorry to say I edited out a couple of comments for your reading pleasure. Ah, the perils of being a woman... Funny how even on my website the focus is on my rack and not my brain, as the URL would indicate! ;-) Maybe I should change the name to jugs.com, although I have a feeling that's already taken. Damn!

In other news, my newest online purchase from Ebay arrived yesterday. Love the Kenneth Cole sandals I got for $19.99. Look at 'em and weep!
